
Stonerock produces first release for Louisville's "Two Cent Penny"
Kevin recently completed album production duties for Louisville Triple-A artists "Two Cent Penny". The album is set for release in late September.
Kevin Stonerock again to travel with the Indiana Historical Society's "History Train"
The Indiana Historical Soceity's History Train is a traveling exhibit contained within three 65 foot renovated freight cars. The title of the exhibit is "Faces of the Civil War". Stonerock will perform "Billy Yank - Common Soldier for the Union" several times each day. This fall, the train will make stops in Indianapolis, Wabash, Valparaiso, Fort Wayne and Kokomo. The exhibit is free of charge and is open to school groups and the general public. Mayflower Society to Make Grants Available for "A Visit With a Pilgrim of Plymouth"
In July 2006, Kevin agreed to research, write and perform a new living history interpretation of a "Pilgrim" (they didn't usually refer to themselves as "Pilgrims") who arrived in New England on the Mayflower in 1620. Stonerock portrays Stephen Hopkins. A limited number of program grants from the Mayflower Society will be made available to Indiana schools. The program, which is about 40-45 minutes in length, is designed for grades 4 through 8. The presentation is also appropriate for adult audiences. E-mail for more information.
Kevin Stonerock on the "History Train"
Kevin spent a good portion of the month of October working with the Indiana Historical Society on the "History Train". The train is a traveling exhibit contained within three 65 foot renovated freight cars. The title of the exhibit was "Faces of the Civil War". This year, the train made stops in Connersville, Jasper, Terre Haute, Switz City and Columbus, Indiana. Kevin performed his living history character "Billy Yank, Common Soldier for the Union". The History Train is a joint project of the Indiana Historical Society and the Indiana Rail Road Company.

Stonerock as General Anson Mills

Kevin recently appeared as General Anson Mills in a promotional video for a major nationwide realtor. Kevin had been contracted to write and perform the script for the Thorntown Chautauqua. Mills, a Thorntown, Indiana native, led a widely varied life as soldier, surveyor, diplomat, inventor and philanthropist. He platted and named the town of El Paso, Texas, and was a contemporary of Sam Houston, Jim Bridger, George Custer, and Crazy Horse. His biggest claim to fame was as founder of the Anson Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Company.His unique cartridge belts revolutionized the method of carrying cartridges in armies throughout the world and were used by the United States military from the late 1870's through 1950.
